Captan is a nonsystemic phth alimide fungicide used to control diseases of many fruit, ornamental, and vegetable crops. It improves fruit finish by giving it a healthy, bright-colored appearance. It is used in agricultural production as well as by the home gardener. A major use of captan is in apple production. 1. Captan can control Downy mildew, powdery mildew, and anthracnose on various vegetables, like tomatoes and potatoes. 2. Captan can control Damping off and damping off illness on vegetables. 3. Captan can control Ring spot, anthracnose, leaf spot, spot defoliate disease, coal disease, and black spot disease on apple tree and other fruit trees. 4. Captan has a certain color effect on grapes. |
